"To place Music at the centre of our regional community"
"To encourage musical understanding, diversity and enjoyment through access to education, performance, creativity and collaboration."
How we do it?
We do this in several ways:
by offering programs to support music in schools;
by working with key community partners;
by providing a variety of concerts, master classes and workshops;
by supporting cultural development and creativity;
by providing professional development and support to regional teachers.
From Early Childhood Music Education to Adult Education, the Goulburn Regional Conservatorium has something to offer everyone.
Our Key Program Goals
That all schools in the Goulburn Regional Conservatorium catchment have access to music education programs that are relevant, affordable and sustainable.
That all pre-school age children in the Goulburn Regional Conservatorium community have access to a structured and well facilitated Early Childhood Music Program.
That participation in musical activities forms a part of the educational experience of every school in Goulburn and its catchment area.
To enrich the cultural and educational life of the Goulburn regional community through music performance of all styles, genres and standards.
That Goulburn Regional residents and students of the Conservatorium experience the musical enjoyment, creativity and fulfillment of collaborative music making.
That students with special needs, or are from diverse ethnic backgrounds, are enabled to experience and enjoy learning music.
That the Conservatorium and other cultural organisations within the Goulburn Conservatorium region of responsibility will collaborate to ensure the development and annual delivery of a coordinated and cooperative Arts program.
