It is never too young to start learning, experiencing, making and understanding music!
Music Education is a very important part of Early Childhood Education. Various studies have shown that Music helps children learn more effectively. The GRC's aim is to provide high quality Early Childhood Music classes that are engaging, energetic and FUN!
From 2015 the GRC is offering group music classes at Family Day Care Centres, Pre-Schools and Child Care Centres.
Classes are about FUN and exploring music through songs, games and instruments.
- Duration: 45 minutes
- Cost: $5.00 per lesson ($50 per 10 week term / payable in advance)
- Class Minimum 15 / Class Maximum 25
- Separate Classes for babies (parents must attend) / toddlers / preschoolers

At the GRC, we deliver a comprehensive and highly interactive Early Childhood Music Program. Children as young as 18 months old can access our program and parental involvement is a crucial ingredient in the success of the program. It is a wonderful experience to watch and help your child come alive to the joys of music, to discover sounds and experiences they have never had before and learn to explore and experiment musically in a safe and nurturing environment.
The Early Childhood Music Program at the GRC is extremely popular, successful and accessible and is delivered on site two mornings a week, and also at regional Early Childhood Centres and selected schools, provided there are sufficient number are enrolled.
Studies have shown that exposure to music at an early age has a significant impact on the development of children in the following areas:
- Cognitive development
- Emotional development
- Aural perception
- Gross Motor skill development (posture, balance), and
- Fine motor skill development (finger manipulation and dexterity).
